Federal Prohibition

Federal law (52 U.S.C. § 30121 and 11 C.F.R. § 110.20) prohibits any foreign national — directly or indirectly — from making any contribution, donation, expenditure, independent expenditure, or disbursement of funds in connection with any federal, state, or local election in the United States.

Who Is a Foreign National?

• Any foreign government, foreign political party, or foreign corporation.
• Any foreign association, partnership, or person who is not a citizen of the United States and not lawfully admitted for permanent residence (a green card holder).

Penalties

Violations may be punishable by fines and up to 5 years imprisonment per offense. Save America PAC strictly screens contributions and rejects any from a prohibited source.
